You can answer this question by your shaft. Weather your using a blade Putter or a mallet, your putting stroke should not change. If you prefer to putt with an arcing stroke or if you prefer to use a straight back and straight through a center shafted putter can help you in your game. This is why. When the shaft is positioned in the Center of the putter, instead of near the heel, the amount the putter opens or closes during your putting stroke is reduced. If you putt on a straight line, you don't want the putter face to open or close at all. If your not sure which way you putt, try laying a shaft on the ground, and make a few practice strokes with your putter directly on top of the shaft and if your putter doesn't trace the shaft and moves closer to your body, you probably more of an arc putter.
