Adams Speedline Driver

May 20, 2009 by

Many design manufacturers in golf believe that when you improve the speed at which the clubhead moves in the air, it produces higher ball speed. Enter the concept of golf aerodynamics. Adams Golf is pushing the limits on aerodynamics. With its wind tunnel design Speedline Driver with a 46 inch shaft.

Some companies have been researching  this concept for the past ten years now. What the idea behind this is that with the same swing speed, a driver with better aerodynamic shape will then move faster than a driver with poor aerodynamic. Manufacturers continue to discuss this theory and weather other performance areas might be sacrificed.

With strong noticeable improvements with aerodynamics than MOI. Scott Burnett, director of product development for Adams Golf says streamlining the clubhead shape and pushing up the crown slightly are two keys to producing a more aerodynamic driver. Balancing the aerodynamic drag that comes with larger head sizes, against the increases in off center hit performance that comes with mant trade offs that get analyzed. Other companies are trying to increase speed through different face construction and added shaft length.

Speedline is the first to be produced using the wind tunnel technology for a superior aerodynamics. This does indeed translate to a faster swing speeds for all types of golfers looking for more distance
