Drivers What You Get For The Price

Apr 1, 2009 by

At what cost? Imagine taking 3 similar looking Drivers off the rack at your local pro shop. You put each of them into your hands and waggle them a bit to get a sense of how they feel. You swing them to here how each sound, and perhaps you even hit a few balls into a net. So then you decide you can not figure which one to purchase. Then you glance at the price and notice one is $200 more than the other. What do you think of this and why.

Golf manufacturing methods and materials are what distinguish inexpensive Drivers. The most inexpensive Drivers are made entirely from aluminum. It's the weakest metal used for clubheads. The walls of the head are much thicker. Making this club much harder to optimize a springlike effect.

All titanium clubheads cost slightly more, primarily because they can be designed with thin walls for more springlike effect and feel. Many of the titanium Drivers combine different kinds of titanium sheets, like 6-4 and beta. Also the clubheads are manufactured with weight chips, cavities and shaped face inserts.

When looking at very expensive Drivers there materials are made up of multiple magnesium, carbon composite, tungsten internal or adjustable weights and more customization. These Drivers also come with high end shafts.

So when looking at your next Driver remember this is what you get for the price of that Driver.
