Golf manufacturers interchangeable shaft systems this year. This is due to companies response to the USGA's clubhead adjust-ability rule change. Buyers were underwhelmed since the adjustable shaft versions were to expensive then just a regular model. Golf manufacturers have responded to this by dropping this years adjustable shaft club prices. Now for the same amount of money you can purchase a club you can adjust to play the game you want.

2009 some manufacturers are making adjustment where the shaft connections have up to eight adjustable shaft settings that, once adjusted properly, you will able to connect either a severe slice or a severe hook.

There are other adjust-ability benefits, like fitting, so even if you don't buy an adjustable model, companies with an adjustable fitting system maximize your chances of buying a perfect components combination.

Some golfers will go for the adjust-ability, but people will still buy the glued on golf club, I do not see this changing. I think this year will be the year if we see consumers buy into adjust-ability or not.

It just kind of seems like a lot of work for you can get fitted for just the right golf driver by trying them out at your local pro shop, and then purchasing them online for best pricing.
