CALLAWAY FT-9
Asking Price: $400
Lofts: 9, 10, 11; Draw: 9, 10, 11, 13; Tour/Tour draw: 8.5, 9.5, 10.5
The carbon-fiber composite structure granted Callaway engineers to establish a frame that has a 7 percent longer front to back than the FT-5. The titanium cupface boasts an interior X-pattern pattern behind the middle of the face to better ball speed on off-center hits. External bulk is placed on the back edge to create a neutral flight or draw.
What is nice about this club is how far mis-hits go. It's very workable, and the ball leaps off the clubface. One of the best thing about this driver is the sound. It sounds so much better than the other Callaway Fusion drivers.
It nearly feels too soft off the face, but the trajectory is so awesome that it makes up for the sound and feel. All your miss hits right right would catch the edge of the fairway.
Whats Hot: Far away the best looking, sounding and playing multimaterial driver ever.
Whats Not: Composite sound and no-hosel it is distracting for most diehards
